Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 July 2026 · GrowthPost is a product of GrowthPostHQ.

This Privacy Policy explains how GrowthPostHQ (ABN 60 410 976 328) ("GrowthPostHQ", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information in connection with GrowthPost (the "Service"), a LinkedIn content and business-development tool for recruitment professionals.

We are based in Australia and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) ("Privacy Act") and the Australian Privacy Principles ("APPs"). Where we handle personal information about individuals located outside Australia, additional laws may apply.

If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@growthposthq.com.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to:

If you are an individual who has engaged with a GrowthPost customer's LinkedIn content and you want to know what we hold about you, see Section 12 (Access and correction) and Section 4 (Information about third parties).

2. The personal information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

Information you give us directly

Information we collect when you connect LinkedIn

Information about people who engage with your content (third-party information)

Information we collect automatically

Sensitive information

We do not seek to collect "sensitive information" (as defined in the Privacy Act — e.g. health, racial or ethnic origin, political or religious beliefs). Please do not include sensitive information in voice notes or content unless it is necessary and you have any consent required. If you provide it, we treat it in accordance with the Privacy Act.

3. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

We only use personal information for the purposes for which it was collected, for a directly related secondary purpose you would reasonably expect, or where you have consented or the law otherwise permits.

4. Information about third parties who engage with your content

A core function of GrowthPost is to help our customers understand who is engaging with their LinkedIn content so they can pursue relevant business-development opportunities.

Where you publish content through the Service and an individual engages with it, we may process limited information about that individual — such as their name, publicly available professional profile information provided through LinkedIn's API, and details of their engagement — and surface it to you, together with suggested next steps.

If you are a customer: you are responsible for ensuring that your use of this information, including any outreach you undertake, complies with applicable laws (including privacy, anti-spam and platform-terms obligations). You must not use information surfaced by the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or that the individual would not reasonably expect.

If you are an individual whose engagement information has been processed: you can contact us at hello@growthposthq.com to request access to, or correction or deletion of, information we hold about you, subject to the limits in Section 12. Where we hold such information on behalf of a customer, we may need to direct your request to, or coordinate with, that customer.

5. Automated decision-making and use of AI

GrowthPost is an agent-based product. We use automated processes and artificial intelligence, including third-party AI models, to help operate the Service — for example to:

Human involvement. These processes are designed to assist you, not to make binding decisions about individuals on their own. Content is published only after you approve it, and suggested business-development actions are recommendations that you choose whether to act on.

Your data and AI providers. To provide these features we may send content and related data to third-party AI service providers who process it on our behalf under contract. We do not permit these providers to use your content to train their models except as necessary to provide the Service to us, or as otherwise disclosed to you.

6. When we disclose personal information

We may disclose personal information to:

We do not sell personal information.

A current list of key sub-processors is available on request at hello@growthposthq.com.

7. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers are located outside Australia, or store data outside Australia. This means your personal information may be disclosed to, or accessed from, overseas recipients — likely including the United States (for example LinkedIn, AI providers, payment processing and hosting).

Before disclosing personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure recipients handle it consistently with the APPs, or otherwise rely on an exception permitted under the Privacy Act. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your information may be handled as described in this section.

8. Direct marketing

We may send you marketing communications about the Service where the law permits. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us at hello@growthposthq.com. We will comply with the Privacy Act and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). We do not use information about third parties who engage with customer content for our own direct marketing.

9. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website and Service, remember your preferences, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect functionality. We may use third-party analytics providers; where we do, they process data on our behalf.

10. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include technical and organisational measures such as encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, least-privilege permissions, and activity logging. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act, including notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) where required.

11. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law:

If you close your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, subject to any legal retention obligations.

12. Accessing and correcting your information

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. To make a request, contact us at hello@growthposthq.com.

We will respond within a reasonable period. We may need to verify your identity first. In some cases we may decline access or correction where the law permits, in which case we will explain why. There is no fee to make a request, though we may charge a reasonable cost for giving access in certain circumstances.

If we hold your information on behalf of a customer (for example, engagement information tied to a customer's content), we may need to involve that customer in handling your request.

13. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the APPs or mishandled your personal information, please contact us first at hello@growthposthq.com so we can try to resolve it. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond within a reasonable period.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC): www.oaic.gov.au, phone 1300 363 992.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at this page, with the "last updated" date shown at the top. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
